There’s Just So Much to be Grateful For

It’s my belief that the less expectations you have in life, is the more you will have to be grateful for. Your level of gratitude should never be left in the hands of others. There’s always so many priceless (no money involved) things in our lives that we should be grateful for. When your gratitude level increases, then your happiness automatically goes up in value.

Just being able to simply feed yourself is something to be grateful for, and if you are unable to feed yourself… then having someone or a tube to feed you is a huge blessing. You can stand on your feet is a blessing. To wake up and see the clouds, sun or rain is something to be grateful for. I guess by now you will understand where I’m heading with my thoughts on gratitude.

Never let those things you want or wish you had, make you forget what you have in life. Loneliness is not about being alone, but it’s more about a choice one makes when alone. If ever you find yourself alone … take a walk where flowers bloom or find a stream where water flows… You will soon find a place call a haven that makes you stop and reflect on nature and all of God’s creation that literally will take your breath away. Gratitude changes everything.

Every Saturday morning, my hubby and I for over 40 years pause and share all that God had done for us within the last seven days. Once we get started… we can go on and on if not pressed for time, but we always immediately realize how much God has done for us.

So go ahead and count your blessings and forget what did or didn’t happen. Don’t wait on another person to make you happy. You alone makes ‘magnificent’ Heaven happy when God thinks how much potential you have buried within you.

I still remember the days I prayed only for one third of the things I have now, but it’s because of my heart of gratitude I received more than I ever asked for 🙏🏾💃🏾❤️
