It’s not everyday you:
- wake up motivated
- fully energized
- passionate
- on fire

Some low keyed days, you just have to be your own cheerleader and motivational speaker. The Psalmist David was a man who knew how to motivate himself on days he probably felt like quitting.
In Psalms 42 we see an example of a man who’s determined NOT to quit on his destiny. It’s a perfect example of:
“When Courage Meets Courage” ππΎ
βWhy am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him againβ my Savior and my God. Verse 5
But EACH DAY the LORD POURS his unfailing love upon me, and through EACH NIGHT I SING his songs, PRAYING to God who gives me life. Verse 8
Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I WILL put MY HOPE in God! I will PRAISE HIM AGAIN β my Savior and my God!β Verse 11 NLTβ¬β¬
The Psalmist David showed us a humanistic way of “When Courage Meets Courage”.
Rule #1 – NEVER Quit. It’s not an option. Ask yourself – Why am I discouraged? It’s an ideal time to have a one on one chat with yourself.
Rule #2 – You stumble, get back up. Each day the Lord will POUR His UNFAILING LOVE on you. If something is being poured – the object has to be below the person that is carrying out the action. If you stumble – the Lord will pour His unfailing love on you, then you will get back up fully strengthened to finish the task.
Rule #3 – WHATEVER happened yesterday, don’t allow it to hold you hostage. The verse says, ‘Through EACH NIGHT I will sing.’ It’s a choice we all have to make. What you do THROUGH THE NIGHT – will allow you to reap the benefits. Singing frees up yesterday’s thoughts and resets today’s thoughts.
Rule #4 – You may have TO FIGHT a battle MORE than once. Verse 11 was repeated by David. Why? Because sometimes we have to face the same situation/demon/spirit again. Prayer and Praise go together as a horse and carriage. When you pray – praise follows, and praise and worship gets you back into the ring again.
Rule #5 – Winning comes by getting UP and fighting AGAIN. Defeat weighs you down. Go ahead and ask yourself, “Why is my heart sad?” The answer to David’s prayer was found within him. He said, “I will put my HOPE in God.” Where’s your HOPE? Certainly, not in man. Repeat David’s prayer – “I will put my HOPE in God!!”
Rule #6- The time you feel like quitting is the time to PUSH. “When COURAGE meets COURAGE”. Faith + Hope = Courage. Courage is …”the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, pain, danger WITHOUT FEAR.”
Rule #7- You cannot expect to get anywhere closer to your dreams … if you stop to react to every person’s feedback/comment. There’s enough sun to shine on everybody, so set your boundaries, and move along with humility.
Rule #8- If you are fearful – don’t pause for a cause or a reason. Ask God for your measure of GRACE along with your MUSTARD SEED of FAITH to handle the task for today.
Rule #9- Quitters never win – we didn’t come this far to give up just like that! When Courage Meets Courage – you realize you have this one life. So you’ve got to believe in yourself, and make yourself proud. Finish strong!
Rule #10- Where you are today – first started with a THOUGHT. Where you’re next five years – would be the result of ANOTHER THOUGHT.
Thank you for your encouraging words of wisdom. Practical self-talk that helps to make it one step at a time. Love the imagery of GOD pouring HIS unfailing love on me daily. π

I loved the one with playing the piano. In the midst of the pain, it’s important never to lose focus on why we got started in the first place π

This is so true. Itβs not everyday I:
wake up motivated – about the things of God
fully energized – to pray
passionate – concerning the word of God
on fire – with the Holy Ghost
feeling dynamic – to move to the next level in my christian life
confident – about who I am in Christ
happy – to be alive
excited – about my future
blessed – to be chosen by God
Then I remember Paul who said “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that dayβand not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing”.
June thanks again for your blogs because it is another way of keeping focus regarding my destiny.
Stay blessed.
Love
