Don’t Become Angry and Upset

“Enjoy serving the Lord, and he will give you whatever you ask for. Depend on the Lord. Don’t become so angry and upset that you, too, want to do evil.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:4-8‬ ‭ERV‬‬

The Word of the LORD is QUICK and SHARPER than a two edged sword. In moments of doubt there’s always something in it for anyone who lacks wisdom in any given situation. To be honest, some days you absolutely have to pull all your human resources that’s within you to Love God. Love others. Love you.

There are days when you have to adjust your crown, keep your head held high and walk away like a champion, after someone may have tried to ‘accidentally’ certainly not intentionally knock your crown off.

We do live in a very selfish and highly competitive world.  On days when you feel exhausted from the fight, those are the days we must remind ourselves the meaning of Love. Ask yourself is it worth it to destroy someone’s happiness because you felt wounded or is it better to choose to keep on the edge of love and love the unlovable.

Choice: I want to live believing that if God brings me face to face with what I will call ‘distractions’ – He WILL BRING ME THROUGH THEM.

The truth is, if we want to be truly happy we must learn to find contentment and worth within ourselves. What’s going on around us should never have a serious effect on who we are as a person. Everyone wants to believe that they are NOT envious or self centred, but secretly our actions do speak  louder than our words. No one can hide actions so it imperative we keep a clean heart. Actions unintentionally spills out. Only a pure heart avoids evil actions.

If you ever happen to be on the receiving end of an envious or selfish person’s actions, pause for a moment and remind yourself of this verse –

“Don’t become so angry and upset – that you too, want to do evil.”

‭‭Selfish acts done by others takes an emotional toll on everyone. But, it’s important that we choose to stay above the mess. God’s got this ! Choose to smile because it’s easier than explaining what’s wrong. Nobody gets offended when you smile. Smiling will either warm their heart, or make them more angry, but take the high road and keep on smiling.

The smile on your face doesn’t mean that the situation is perfect. It simply means you appreciate what God has blessed you with. Smiling avoids problems even when you are struggling through tears. On difficult days you must act like nothing’s wrong and choose to smile.

Remember: “Don’t become so angry and upset – that you too, want to do evil.”

Sometimes we expect more from others because we would be willing to do that much for them. Life is a circle so keep pouring the best in others and others will come from nowhere to pour into you. God is NOT unjust to forget your labor of love.

  1. Psalm 119:165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

Those whose hearts stand in awe of God’s word, will rather endure the wrath of man, than break the law of God.
