Suffering vs Glory

“For I consider [from the standpoint of faith] that the sufferings of the present life are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us!”‭‭ROMANS‬ ‭8:18‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Suffering is the state of undergoing pain, distress, or hardship.

To undergo is to experience something that is unpleasant or something that involves change.

My version of the scripture noted above:

  • From the standpoint of FAITH
  • Let’s think carefully before making a decision
  • The pain, distress, hardship of your current unpleasant circumstances
  • Are not deserving enough to compare with the honour that is about to be disclosed TO us and IN us

No one prays for suffering but yet suffering comes to all of us. We don’t get up in the morning and ask God to give us pain, distress and hardship…but nevertheless those unpleasant circumstances confront us with an unforgettable force.

Let’s face it – Life is tough, but with God’s promises found in the verse above – the tough life is no where in comparison to the honour that God will exhibit IN us through the pain we are selected to endure.

We are called to live from the standpoint of FAITH.

Walking and living in Faith is definitely NOT for the faint hearted or weak minded people.

Everything we go through in life must first be taken from the standpoint of our Faith in God.

When things get rough – the tough minded people gets going by FAITH.

No trouble + no pain + no hardship = No Glory.

We’ve got to hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly FEED our faith and deliberately STARVE our fears.

“A wonderful Saviour is Jesus my Lord. A wonderful Saviour to me. He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock where rivers of pleasure I see.”
