A Lot Can Happen In Three Days

The number three can be found recorded numerous times in the Bible:

• Noah had three sons (Genesis 6:10)
• Job had three daughters (Job 1:2)
• Moses mother hid him for three months ( Exodus 2:2-3)
• Daniel regularly prayed three times a day (Daniel 6: 10) 
• Paul experienced three shipwrecks ( 2 Corinthians 11:28)
• Paul prayed three times for God to remove the thorn in his flesh (2 Corinthians 12:7-8)
• Jesus was tempted by Satan three times in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11)

Interestingly, there were so many other biblical accounts of events that had the number three. 

The greatest event in all history is the Burial and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. It’s the foundation of our Christian faith walk. ‘Christ is Risen’ has been our ongoing theme and anthem. 

Jesus spoke with His disciplies about His pending death and His resurrection on the third day. I find it very fascinating that Jesus snatched the victory from the grave in three days, and finished the show by removing the sting/pain of death.

Our God keeps His promises …

“So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.”  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:11‬ ‭NASB‬‬

Mark’s account of Jesus –  “They will ridicule him, spit on him, torture him, and kill him. After three days, he will rise up.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭10:34‬ ‭CEB‬‬

On the third day:

“They were saying to each other, “Who’s going to roll the stone away from the entrance for us?” 

When they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away. (And it was a very large stone!) 

Going into the tomb, they saw a young man in a white robe seated on the right side; and they were startled. 

But he said to them, “Don’t be alarmed! You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. 

He has been raised. He isn’t here. Look, here’s the place where they laid him.”

IF Jesus had died WITHOUT ‘The Promise’ of the third day resurrection being FULFILLED….Satan would have won. 

Reminder: Today, Satan still remains defeated in his quest for power and dominion. 

Regardless of whatever you and I may go through in life – with The Resurrection Power Factor residing in us – there MUST be a greater purpose to every horrifying experience we may be going through or will go through.

Satan CANNOT WIN regardless of how long the war may be brewing or even the distinct smell of death in any given situation. 

There’s VICTORY in every battle regardless of how long you’ve been fighting. It’s a done deal.

It’s my firm belief that Jesus Christ died AND rose again for everything that you and I will ever face in this life. His death and resurrection made US MORE than CONQUERORS!!

Today:

I know who I am – I would never have an identity problem. I will never have to look to a human being as a role model. 

I’m a forgiven and loved child of God. My relationship with God makes me different. My goal is to walk, talk and conduct myself as an Ambassador of Jesus Christ. 

Why am I alive? Because God has given me purpose. 

I’m alive to be a testimony of my Risen Savior love and His manifested power daily working in my everyday life’s challenges. I have a real purpose for living.

What will happen to me when I die? Death is not final. There is life after death. Earth is temporary. Heaven is eternal. 

What happens after you die depends on what happened before you die. It is appointed unto man, once to die and after death is judgement.

There’s no second chance. The soul of the Christian goes to God, the body stays in the grave. 

If you know Jesus  – you go from dying to living.
