Heavy Hearted?

“So those who went off with heavy hearts will come home laughing, with armloads of blessing.”‭‭Psalm‬ ‭126:6MSG‬‬

It’s so sweet to trust in Jesus, just to take Him at His Word. If you believe God’s Word is true then there’s no need to worrry or to fret about any given situation.

Things happen and fear comes knocking loud and persistent at our doors, but we can choose to allow God’s promises to answer every knock.

God has given us His Word to lean on. It’s like your trusted friend who phoned you to let you know that he/she took care of that long outstanding debt you owed. My guess is – you will be not surprised that he/she took care of it – because of your faith in their word. It not too far fetched to believe that you will be so humbled and relieved by the kind act of your trusted friend.

Come together and let’s reason this out:

  1. Why do we find it so difficult to trust God’s Word
  2. Why does it get so complicated to believe that God can be trusted?
  3. Why do we read it but don’t believe it?
  4. What keeps us from resting in peace?
  5. Why can we trust man’s promises and NOT God?

God’s Word tells us, “So those who went off with heavy hearts will come home laughing, with armloads of blessing.”

Heavy hearts ‭‭brings:

  • regrets
  • sadness
  • brokenness
  • mistrust
  • hatred
  • self pity
  • low self esteem
  • lack of confidence
  • high blood pressure
  • heart attack
  • strokes

And all other ailments – too many to mention. So why then is trusting God so difficult? We have an opposition committee that holds regular meetings in our heads.

How can we start trusting and depending on God more:

You can take God’s Word to your heart and trade in your fears and doubts. It works! Get ready to come home laughing WITH ARMLOADS OF BLESSINGS. Get ready! Get ready!

It’s the fourth month of the year – victory belongs to Jesus 🙏🏾

  1. Just to take HIM at HIS Word. Just to rest upon HIS Promise. Just to know, “Thus saith the LORD”. I am so glad I’ve learned to trust HIM, Precious JESUS, Saviour, Friend! 💝
