A promise is:

  • A bond
  • A pledge to do a specific thing
  • An assurance
  • A guarantee
  • An agreement
  • A commitment

As humans – we sometimes fall short when it comes to keeping our promises. We live in a world where loyalty can be the missing link in relationships. There are times when we fail big times in keeping our promises to both God and man.

On the contrary when God makes a promise – we can close our eyes, fall asleep and wake up knowing that He’s would keep His promises.

I admire a person that is a promise keeper …. but we must remember that people are incapable WITHOUT the help of God to always keep their commitments.

Here are a few selected promises taken from Deuteronomy 11 that God has made to us:

The LORD said, “If you are careful to obey the LORD your God, do what God thinks is right, pay attention to his commandments, and keep all of his regulations, then” ….

He won’t bring on us any of the diseases that the rebellious or disobedient people faceThe LORD  also promises to heal all our diseases.

If we are careful to obey every command, and to love the Lord our God, to do what He has told us to do, and to be loyal to Him…Then the Lord will force all those nations out of the land ahead of you.

What is coming against you and your household? God said, He will FORCE – put pressure on ALL that oppose you.

God said — You will take the land from nations that are bigger and stronger than you.

Those who oppose you may be stronger and mightier than you … BUT God made a promise to us that we will take captive every place wherever He sends us.

Everywhere we step out according to God’s purpose will be ours. Come on now!!! EVERYWHERE I STEP WILL BE MINES…This is some pretty exciting news. I’m good with that promise from God and I’m claiming my inheritance.

God said, no one will be able to stop us. That means wherever God directs — NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO STOP YOU and ME!! Sounds like a great promise.

Finally….The Lord our God will do whatever He has promised. Best relationship goal ever. He WILL DO what He has PROMISED!!!

With God, one day is as good as a thousand years, a thousand years as a day.

God isn’t late with his promise as some measure lateness.
