He’s an all knowing God – that’s who He is
“There are some things the Lord our God has kept secret.
But there are some things he has let us know.
These things belong to us and our children forever.
It is so we will do everything in these teachings.”
Deuteronomy 29:29 ICB
What is hidden from us as humans is still known by God. God even knows our thoughts. God knows exactly where we are right now and what we’re thinking.
God is more involved in our lives than we are aware of. Even when things get chaotic and unpredictable – He’s there with us.
He’s a promise keeper – that’s who He is.
From cover to cover – God’s Word is filled with promises:
He fights our battles for us – we need only to be still. Exodus 14:14
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Isaiah 40:29
Whatever you ask for in PRAYER believe it and you will receive it. Mark 12:24
He’s a healing God – that’s who He is.
“But he took our suffering on him and felt our pain for us.
We saw his suffering. We thought God was punishing him.
But he was wounded for the wrong things we did.
He was crushed for the evil things we did.
The punishment, which made us well, was given to him. And we are healed because of his wounds.”
Isaiah 53:4-5 ICB
Many people see nothing in Jesus that they should desire. They show no interest in Him except at death doors.
In 2017 –He’s still despised and rejected by man. God took upon Himself – Our sins … and Satan. Death and Hell. Sickness and Healing. And by His stripes we are healed. Prayer has healing power.
He’s a faithful friend – that’s who He is.
“But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”
Proverbs 18:24 NASB
If you have too many friends, you stand a great chance of being wounded and hurt.
Some friendships do not last.
But Jesus is a true, reliable and loyal friend.
He stays by your side through the good and the bad times even when you ignore Him.
He waits patiently to hear you when you call His Name.
He’s our soon coming King – that’s who He is.
“The Lord is not being slow in doing what he promised—the way some people understand slowness.
But God is being patient with you. He doesn’t want anyone to be lost.
He wants everyone to change their ways and stop sinning.”
2 Peter 3:9 ERV
God is not bound to our timing.
God is the one who makes the schedule.
He’s never late. He’s not slack concerning His promises.
God is giving more time for all people to come to repent.
He’s not willing for anyone die in their sins.
He prefers that everyone would be saved …. but … He’s not going to force them all to be saved.
