Vanity

Vanity is excessive pride in or admiration of one’s own appearance and achievements.

Ecclesiastes says, to everything there’s a season. There’s a time for every thing under the sun. We experience joys and sorrows. We get rich and famous and we do everything that we ever dreamt about …. but there remains a void.

Without God …. life has no purpose or meaning. Everything else is Vanity or Pride.

There’s a vacuum in everyone of our hearts that no human or materialistic thing can fill. Getting married will not fill the void. Getting a divorce will not fill the void. Having children will not fill the void.

Our lives will always be restless until we find our peace in Jesus the Son of the Living God. When we include God in everything we do – our lives take on a whole new meaning to it.

This life will end in death. Nothing we have accumulated over the years is getting pass our grave.

Beauty will not take us pass the grave. Our credentials will not be presented to our Creator when our names are called. Our bank accounts will not bring us into the throne room of God.

Life is fragile so handle it with care.

  1. Very thought-provoking. May we all give sober reflection to the opportunities that we are blessed with each day to make a difference in someone’s life.

  2. The journey of life. How do others see us? What are they saying about us? But you know what. You are so right . Finding peace in Christ Jesus. With Christ in the vessel we can smile at the storm.
You are a true example of what you preach. You inspire us as you share your journey of life.
    Stay Blessed.
