Have you ever had someone who walked into your life and left you feeling much better after the first encounter? If you are one who can recall that special moment … make sure you pass that feeling on to someone else.
Being a friend means being there when someone is going through a rough time. Life is stressful and people are dealing with anxiety or depression many times without saying a word to you.
People’s behavior changes when they are struggling with issues. Being someone’s eyes and ears can ease the pain of embarrassment and shame. The truth is, we all have the ability to help others in some way or the other.
A word of caution before I continue: Setting healthy boundaries is important before you set out on a mission to help others. We cannot be EVERYTHING to EVERYONE. We must PROTECT ourselves from manipulation, being used or being disrespected by others.
Back to my topic: No matter how unimportant some people may seem… those are the real ones who will give you an opportunity to change their world. Take a chance and be kind to them.
Sometimes, a simple hello, a smile, a hug can make such a big difference in someone’s life. Other times, it may cost you something more to leave a sparkle in someone’s eyes. Whatever is the process – be prepare to follow through on what GOD has placed on your heart.
John 15:9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.”
So many people have been forgotten, abused, rejected and left alone to face difficult situations. It is a great feeling to live knowing you can help make a difference at someone else’s crossroad.
Nothing you do to make someone feel better than how you met them goes unnoticed or unappreciated. God who sees in secret – rewards you openly. Kindness is a choice. Giving is a choice. Respect is a choice. So choose wisely.
If you are thinking of someone, maybe it’s a great time to call them. It doesn’t take too much time to say hi. Jesus met a woman at a well, she had five husbands and her future was changed forever because she had an encounter with Him. Purpose in your heart to leave others better than you met them. Everybody needs somebody.
When my turn comes to enter into my rest, I want to know that I did not waste my time on earth …. but I made a difference in people’s lives.
Good words – the definition of a life well lived. You are certainly doing your part by sharing these words daily.
Blessings! 👭 💝

Reminds me of the words of the song by Louis Armstrong ‘what a wonderful world’. We can in our little corner, make this world a better place by the love we show.
