A HAPPY heart is good medicine and a joyful mind causes healing.
But a broken spirit dries up the bones. Proverbs 17:22
We can always make a choice between having a happy heart or walking around with a wounded spirit…it takes the same amount of effort.
- A HAPPY heart forgives the worst and never loses faith in God
- A BROKEN spirit is being overwhelmed with sorrow
To stay happy….forgive quickly, and never lose your faith in God.
When people laugh together…a bond is formed and it helps to maintain healthy relationships. In dealing with others…let’s purpose to leave footprints of happy memories behind.
The Book of Proverbs says, “An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up.” Kind words cheer up those who are disheartened. Be God’s hands extended and find someone to cheer up.
As Christians we may not have the answer to all of life’s challenges …but we believe that we serve a God that is at work in our situations. And that is how we can have a happy heart even in the darkest hours. Encourage others to trust God to work out the details of their lives.
It takes a little to make someone happy …a genuine smile can make a world of difference to a wounded person. If we each try a little kindness then we will overlook the faults of others. Lending a helping hand to those who are disheartened brings happiness to everyone.
Junie, I love this post! Simple, practical AND it works!!! As children, we used to sing a song, “Scatter sunshine, all along the way. Cheer and bless and brighten, every passing day” 😁 Or similar words. Scattering sunshine with you today 👭💖
