1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th Generation

We cannot choose our family members any more than we can choose the color of our eyes. In families there are some reoccurring events that take place in our family’s history that makes you wonder where it all got started.

When we deal with stuff that affected our grandparents, our parents, and now affecting our lives then it should be natural to stop and think how to deal with the toxic effects of generation curses …

  1. Alcoholism
  2. Depression
  3. Suicide
  4. Idol worshipping
  5. Worry
  6. Sexual abuse
  7. Physical abuse
  8. Infidelity
  9. Dangerous use of drugs
  10. Anger… etc

Through Adam and Eve (generation one) sin entered…then my grandfather (generation two) struggles with any or all of the above mentioned curses…then his child (generation three) openly displays lack of self control and falls prey to the curses …then naturally the generations following will most likely have to battle the same demons…and the cycle continues on and on and on.

Sinful lifestyles gives birth to rebellious offsprings. God is a jealous God, He hates those who worship other gods (whatever takes priority in your life), punishing the children for any sins their parents PASS ON to them to the third, and yes, even to the fourth generation. (Exodus 20:5)

It’s not that God is mean to punish the sins committed by the generations …. it’s that the generations that follow will continue to commit the same sins as their parents.

Jesus Christ always makes a way out of curses….This is our PASS to FREEDOM – Exodus 20:6

God’s unfailing love lavishly pours out to a thousand generations on those who LOVE Him and OBEY His COMMANDMENTS.

God’s grace LAVISHLY pours all over to a thousand generation on people that love and obey Him. It’s that simple – love and obey Him. We need to repent and turn away from our wicked ways.

Only Jesus Christ can set us free from generational curses.
