The definition of self-worth is the value YOU give to YOUR life and achievements.
It’s a feeling that YOU are a good person who deserves to be treated with respect.
Some of us ladies make bad choices based on distorted beliefs about ourselves. When ladies feel like they have fallen short in some area of their lives….their self-worth takes a plunge in how they view themselves.
Our unhealthy beliefs and opinions of ourselves make us extremely vulnerable …thereby we settle for anything or anybody less than what we deserve.
I’ve seen good girls go bad because of false perceptions of themselves. I’ve seen smart girls making poor choices that will make their ancestors turn in their graves.
Unless we know our self-worth – no amount of praise and positive reinforcement would make us ever feel good about ourselves.
Our self-worth should never be dependent on anything that can change with a wind of bad luck like – our appearance, our income, material possession, our careers, or our achievements. All of these things are like chasing after the wind. They all can be changed by sudden disaster.
We as women (young and old) should measure our self-worth by our core values and principles.
When we know who we are, and we are happy with ourselves …we can find our inner peace and contentment. We can be immediately removed from off the sales rack to unique window displays that gives others reasons to stop and look.
When we believe in ourselves…our self-worth will not be influenced by other people’s opinions (good or bad)…people’s opinions are unreliable.
Our self-worth should not be reliant upon our social status…whether we are single or married or divorced. A man doesn’t raise our self-worth. Our core values and principles do.
When we as women know our strengths then we are ready to take on the world. There are some glass ceilings to crack all around.
It’s time to let go of things that are holding us back from reaching our full potential.
Unhealthy thoughts and feelings must go.
We’ve got to think differently about ourselves.
Low self-worth does not come from God… you guessed it…it comes from our enemy the mastermind himself the slewfoot devil.
Self-worth is not loving yourself first because in reality loving ourselves fluctuate depending on what the day brings.
Self-worth is understanding that Jesus thought that you and I were worth everything for Him to die for us. There was no human third party involved with this contract.
So, our self-worth can only be accurately measured by God’s love for us. We don’t need anyone else to validate our worth.
We will keep settling for less when we keep measuring our worth against the wrong measuring stick. We can always count on God for accurate self-evaluation.
Our cracks and flaws doesn’t decrease our worth…they actually make us more pricey.
There will be NO feeble among us! Ladies, let’s adjust each other’s crowns.
Amen! Thank you for the encouraging exhortation that reminds us to know, understand and appreciate our true worth, according to our Maker. Blessings! 👭 💝 💞 💖
