A Whole Lot of Uncertainties

Life has a funny way of throwing us curveballs when we least expect it.

No one enjoys uncertainty because it brings on anxiety and fear.

Uncertainty doesn’t ask permission, it just shows up at the most inappropriate times – at weddings, funerals, births, financial institutions, separations and illnesses.

The truth is, the only thing that remains certain in life are the promises of God. To know the promises you must read the fine print (BIBLE).

Like the autumn leaves fall off the trees and are tossed all over by the wind – so will our earthly possessions.

When there’s a shaking of things that were once stable in our lives – it gives way to uncertainty and uncertainty breeds depression.

We must guard against all kinds of greed.

We worked for much but it came to little when we bought it home.

We eat, but do not have enough.

We drink, but we are never satisfied.

We buy clothes, but yet have nothing to wear.

We earn wages only to put into a bag with holes.

Isn’t it time to consider our ways?

God is allowing a whole lot of uncertainties to get our attention.

All it takes is one curveball to change life’s experiences.

Life doesn’t consist of the abundance of things we possess.

The BIBLE says, in spite of the uncertainties …we did not turn to the LORD. Now, that’s folly. That’s rebellion.

The silver and the gold belongs to God….everything is under His control. Yet we choose to whine and complain about how difficult our lives are…how awful the government is… instead of turning to the only One who can fix everything.

God wants to restore peace to our troubled minds. We walk by faith and not by what we see.

We may not be able to control the uncertainties of the times we live in…but our faith in God makes a firm foundation to stand on.

Our prayer can be – “Lord, lift me up and let me stand by faith far away from the uncertainties of this world.”
