Anxiety is not something that most of us openly speak about. Why? Because it makes us feel weak in an area where many others appear to be strong.
Anxiety reveals all our insecurities and troubling thoughts and uses them against us at our most vulnerable moments.
The thoughts of our shortcomings and failures become increasingly overwhelming and crippling to both mind and body….our strength gets sapped.
When we are between a rock and a hard place, giving God permission to interrupt our anxiety is a great decision because God’s perfect work comes into full operation mode.
So, I’ve come to the conclusion that when we feel anxious about anything – God provides the grace to hold on a little while longer and watch Him completely turn things around.
In the meantime, let us be very intentional about what goes into our mind. The struggle is real to block out negative thoughts, but the only other option left is to sit in a chair and worry about things we absolutely have no control over.
Nothing is really broken that Jesus cannot restore.
Let’s take heart – because we belong to Christ Jesus, God’s peace will stand guard over all our thoughts and feelings.
Let’s avoid the ugly crash by dropping on our knees and leaning on God’s everlasting arms.
Jesus promises to carry us through our anxiety – if we give Him permission to drive our thoughts.
