NO GUILT

Before each one of us were born — God knew everything about us, and had good thoughts about us. It’s a sad day when we trade God’s purpose for empty god-less dreams and silly games. How did we reach the decision to walk out on God and chase after worldly dreams and the applause of human beings?

There are times when God expects us to stand up, say our piece, and say exactly what He wants us to say. We are each other’s keeper and if one person is found hanging off a cliff or considering jumping into a fire — it becomes our duty to grab their hand and pull them back to safety. If perchance the individual at risk refuses to be helped — regrettably there’s nothing more you can humanly do. It’s only an intervention from the Almighty that can turn the course of events.

John 3: 16-18 says, “God didn’t go through all the trouble of sending His Son Jesus just to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in Him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.”

How can people forget about God and have the gall to say, “I’ve done nothing wrong. God doesn’t mind. He hasn’t punished me.” Don’t look now, but judgement is on its way. It’s a sad day when people’s heart is so far removed from God that they think it’s just a small thing when they choose to rebel against their God-given purpose.

The song writer says, “What do you do when you’ve done all you can and it seems like it’s never enough? What do you give when you’ve given your all and it seems like you can’t make it through? Well you just stand when there’s nothing left to do and watch the Lord see you through — you just stand.”
