It’s a L❤VELY DAY. We thank God for L❤ING us and giving us the guidelines for L❤VE.
The truth is, only God can teach us how to LOVE — as mortals, we fall short of what true LOVE is. If we can speak eloquently but don’t have LOVE — we are nothing more than an empty tin can. If we can share God’s Word, and heal the sick, and have big time faith but don’t LOVE — we are nothing. If we feed the poor, and clothe the homeless, and put our lives at risk for others but don’t LOVE — there’s no reward.
No matter what we say, or what we believe, or what we do — we are bankrupt without LOVE. Someone said, “YOU CAN GIVE WITHOUT LOVING, BUT YOU CAN NEVER LOVE WITHOUT GIVING.” Some people give out of guilt, others can give out of pride, and some may give out of compulsion.
Hopefully we can make a honest assessment on our LOVE tank after reading God’s version “THE WAY OF LOVE” — 1 Corinthians 13
- LOVE never gives up
- LOVE cares more for others than for self
- LOVE doesn’t want what it doesn’t have
- LOVE doesn’t strut
- Doesn’t have a swelled head
- Doesn’t force itself on others
- Isn’t always “me first“
- Doesn’t fly off the handle
- Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others
- Doesn’t revel when others grovel
- Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth
- Puts up with anything
- Trusts God always
- Always looks for the best
- Never looks back
- But keeps going to the end
- LOVE NEVER DIES
NOW THAT IS TRUE LOVE! ❤❤❤
God LOVES us, not in speech or thought or intentions — He LOVES us in actions. “But God shows his LOVE for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 ESV
NO SPOUSE, BOYFRIEND, GIRLFRIEND, AUNTIE, UNCLE, GRANDMA, GRANDPA OR ANYONE ELSE CAN LOVE YOU LIKE GOD!
If God is ALL I HAVE — THEN GOD IS ALL I NEED. I’m in a relationship with GOD!
