When Life Gives You Lemons 🍋

When your back is against a wall and it looks like it’s over …remember that God’s unfailing love surrounds the person who puts their trust in Him. God is not slack concerning His promises and He hasn’t forgotten your address.

One thing I’m pretty sure of … the plan God has for us will never end in disappointment. He is not unfair or unjust to give you more than you can carry at any given time when your relationship with Him remains your #1 priority.

Every new season of elevation demands preparation …and ….preparation demands working in silence. Everything will be worth it unless you choose to make where you are today your last chapter. Sometimes we have to be our own Superhero to inspire others that they can handle what was designed to destroy them. Every day may not be a good day…but God’s mercies are new every morning and His sustaining grace will keep us going.

If you want it…then don’t stop until you are proud of your achievements. In the stillness of the moments is where we find our strength.

As a writer, I had many moments of anxiety, lack of a flow of thoughts, discouragement, show of no confidence, late nights, lack of sleep…but I had a plan… and the plan was never to quit on anything that brings me total satisfaction. 

Writing remains the best decision I’ve ever made after raising my children. I’m happy to be living my best life at the moment. I write out of my past and present experiences, my pain, my disappointment, my heartaches, my victories…whatever life hands me … I write.

I’ve found the art of making sweet lemonade with sour lemons and I pass on the recipes.

I learned that there are many ways to do anything that you are passionate about. I had to break the tradition of writing a book or getting on a plane to reach the world at large to share my thoughts.

And then God showed up in my house, removed my limitations, and increased my hearing. I am just a simple woman reaching the world from the different rooms in my home (Metaphor). No one can make you feel inferior without you granting them consent. My pen, computer, and my thoughts have taken me to countries both known and unknown to me on any given day in a matter of minutes after publishing…and the rest is MYstory – not History.

So be content with who you are and don’t believe you have to do things in the traditional way or duplicate someone else’s life. God’s strong hand is on your life and He’s not stuck on ways to get you to your purpose. Keep a cool head and stay alert to His leading. Not for one moment has God forgotten you.

Why wish upon a star when you can trust God to take you to your destination. Most chapters end with … ‘And it’s called GOD.’
