“The LORD was with Joseph, and he [even though a slave] became a successful and prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master, the Egyptian.” GENESIS‬ ‭39:2‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Joseph was sold by his own brothers to traveling merchants, who in turn sold him in Egypt to Potiphar as a household slave. Joseph had two dreams of his brothers bowing down to him that made them resentful and bitter towards him.

Sometimes it’s a long and exhausting journey to rise above other people’s limited views of who we were, who we are, and who we will become. But purpose and potential will force us to grow through many difficult and humiliating experiences.

We need to remind ourselves that pits, prison, passion, and potential are great ingredients to elevation.

Every phase of the journey be it good or bad was designed in such a way to bring out the best and not the worse in us. No one can rise to the level of success if they are bitter and full of resentment. It got to be a no pain, no gain mindset … meaning that it is necessary to suffer and work hard to succeed at anything in life. No cross, no crown is designed in such a way to keep us inspired and motivated to finish strong.

Everything, EVERY THING that cause us a great deal of discomfort and pain are necessary for the next level up. It’s painful to climb to the top of the hill, but the hilltop view is breathtaking.

What God blesses, no man can add a curse to it. What God says about you and I are sealed until it comes to pass. No one can block it, steal it, duplicate it, or kill it. It is permanently sealed with our name on it.

Our purpose/dream could be the vehicle God uses to bless those who had limited views of our potential. We can move from being the most unlikely person from the lowest rank to the highest level in command because God granted us favor and success.

When the LORD is with us, He will cause us to prosper in a hostile environment. It’s not how great we are in ourselves, but how God can prosper us to be a blessing to others. It’s an opportunity to bless those who curse us and cause us undue pain. They are not your enemies. They are your inspiration.

When the root is deep…you don’t have to fear the storm. We will be like a tree bearing fruit every month. Never dropping a leaf and always in blossom.

The will to win, the desire to succeed, and the determination to get over the bumps will be so worth it. We’ve got what it takes! PITS. PRISON. PASSION. POTENTIAL are the ingredients to elevation.
