Some Things Are Worth The Fight

Your peace is worth the fight. Your goals are worth the fight. Your family is worth the fight. Your health is worth the fight. Your rest is worth the fight. Your thoughts are worth the fight. Fights take the wind out of your sail because it rudely interrupts your peace, but it’s worth the fight.

If you are fighting something unpleasant…you try in a very determined way to stop it from hurting. It takes a lot of effort to win a fight…it’s definitely not for the fainthearted .

Are our goals, peace, health, rest, thoughts, family, and our happiness worth the fight? If ‘Yes’, then it takes a lot of effort to win, otherwise you will quit when the fight gets fierce.

The goal is not to give up until your peace is restored, your family’s happiness is restored, perfect nights rest becomes the norm, dreams accomplished, and everything that was stolen be returned.

When you are in a battle and the fight is great, it’s encouraging to know that God is expecting us to turn up in His Presence. It’s amazing how something so simple as having a little talk with Jesus takes the fight to a different level. When we go to God and tell Him all we want, He showers us with His peace that we cannot even begin to understand or explain to someone else.

When Jesus gets into the fight and we do whatever He tells us to do … the victory belongs to Him, and your hands don’t get dirty. Your thoughts are peaceful thoughts, your peace is intact, your path becomes clearer, and you walk away with your character intact.

What was the difference? Jesus’ presence in your fight … it’s always the real deal. It’s the best curve ball when Jesus shows up. Allow Jesus to take the fight to another unnatural level so those disturbing fights will experience the powerful acts of God.

In the words of the song writer Matt Redman, “The sun comes up, it’s a new day dawning, it’s time to sing Your song again, whatever may pass, and whatever lies before me, let me be singing when the evening comes. You’re rich in love and You’re slow to anger, Your name is great and Your heart is kind, for all Your goodness, I will keep on singing … Ten Thousand reasons for my heart to find. And on that day when my strength is failing, the end draws near and my time has come, still my soul will sing Your praise unending, Ten Thousand years and then forevermore.”

You cannot lose if God is fighting. Before you knew that there was a fight …. God had a plan for your victory. He’s not in Heaven wringing His hands and wondering what to do next after we messed up. He’s powerful enough to know that we will make it to the finished line if we will push past the pain.

When God shows up … it’s a knockout without the sweat and tears.
