A Personal Assignment

I believe we all have that one thing we are good at, but not everyone has the courage to find the hidden treasure. It is easier to become nonchalant about life and settle for less but be reminded that your life matters. Your feelings matter. Your experience matters. There is someone somewhere who needs what you have hidden inside to help them find their hidden potential.

I heard the following quotes:

If your goals don’t scare you, they aren’t big enough.’ Meaning our goals must go above and beyond our ability to achieve them.

‘Devil finds work for idle hands’ –  if we are sitting around bored all day, we are more likely to get involved in petty things and reckless behavior.

I know single moms who are gifted in hair; nails; makeup and operate a good thriving business. The plumber who is called to our home may have started his small business out of curiosity, now his fees speak for itself. The executive of the courier company started with his love for driving which turned it into a million-dollar business.

Regardless of who you are and where you come from – the world will make room for your gift. A person’s gift opens doors for him, bringing him access to important people. Proverbs 18:6 ISV

A diligent person is someone who aggressively chases their secret dream until they are happy. To find your diamond shape tile in the world you must be intentional and persistent in doing what you enjoy. Nothing good comes easy. “Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before obscure men.” Proverbs 22:29

The skill or skills you have is enough for the purpose God has designed for you. So, no shame in asking God to show you your skill. He knows you have been looking for it anyway. He knew what you were thinking and saw your potential. Proverbs 22:7 (NIV) says, “The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.” So, find what you are good at and do it.

As you pursue what creates excitement in you – people will come knocking on your door. Anything worth having takes effort, so do not get discouraged when you are facing the climb out of the pit – one day you will retire happy. It is okay to not have it all figured out yet. God already does.

As faithful as God is – You can be sure that He will take care of everything you need. Trust and believe God to bring your dream/passion/gift/skill before persons of influence. If you wait for others to believe in you more than you believe in yourself, you will be waiting for a long time. Insecurity is a deterrent to taking bold steps.

Prayer Time: Father, thank you for the dream/passion/gift/skill that is within me. Without You I cannot do anything so give me the courage to believe in myself. Open doors for me and help me never to stand before shady people . In Jesus’ Name, Amen
