Life is a race and the truth is, everyone of us must participate. It is a race against a predetermined time that was decided by God before our arrival on earth which none of us are privy to. Every day or birthday we celebrate be mindful that one day our time will run out. Life is filled with experiences, difficulties, heartaches, joys, celebrations, and special moments.
The incredible thing about life is, we were assigned separate lanes whether you are single, married, divorced, or living as a hermit. Your designated lane is single occupancy ordered by God Himself. There are barriers, impediments, stumbling blocks, haters, lots of distractions that can hinder you from staying in your designated lane which are all part of the circle of life.
So, if you are wise do not get caught up with the obstructions that have been strategically tossed into your lane. Do not allow anyone or anything to hinder you in the pursuit of your aspirations. Get past criticism without becoming angry and upset skilfully removing yourself from any form of suspicious activities left in your lane.
Life gets competitive – move with wisdom because it is a special race that no one knows when the whistle will blow. You cannot blame anyone running in the other lanes for distracting you from your goals. It is a race against time and not people regardless of who they may be. It is unwise to stop and listen to what the other competitors are saying or not saying. The goal is, stay in your lane before your time runs out.
Life is a marathon not a sprint – pace yourself. When you focus on the negativity around you, you will hear more, see more, imagine more, and believe more. Be confident and wise with your time knowing fully well there are other good competitors competing in the other lanes. Do not run without direction. Run in a way to reach the end.
Life will always seem hard when we center our happiness on others. So, stop imprisoning yourself waiting for others to coax you to reach your goal. You will need all the energy you can to pick up your pace as you approach the end of your lane. Success takes work and work always has its rewards. Do not give up. Remain steadfast under fire, for when you pass the test you will enjoy the benefits.
Just keep on running. It is a race against time. Not everyone can run and stay in their lane but to win you cannot cross lanes or invite others in your lane. Some have a long time, some have a few years left , some may have minutes , but the point is run as fast as you can before your time runs out.
Hebrews 12:1-2 ESV – ‘Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.’
I do not know about you, but I am running in my lane and I am giving it everything. I am not going to get caught napping or telling everyone else all about staying in their lane and then I miss out myself. I am staying in my lane.
