Everyone you meet on your walk through life has something to teach you. Everyone who meets you has something to learn from you. Real strength is shown when you take a stand for something you believe in even if no one is standing with you.
If you are always trying to be normal or to fit in with the majority, you will be an echo and not a voice.
The hardest step you ever take is to believe in yourself without the audience. It takes courage to accept the fact that even at your absolute best performance you still would not be good enough for the wrong audience.
Relax. You are an adult. God’s timing is perfect, and He works in unexplained ways. One touch of God’s favor can change everything.
Some people will never hear you regardless of how loud you speak – they are not your audience so let it go. Some days are good, some days are not – just keep swimming and never quit. Maya Angelo said, “We are only as blind as we want to be.”
To make a difference in someone’s life you must give them wings to fly. Be kind – you don’t have to know the full disclosure of someone’s battles to show empathy.
No one can make you look mean, rude, or discourteous without your permission. Guard your integrity. You teach people how to treat you so be careful what you tolerate and who you tolerate.
It is immaturity to go back and forth on your beliefs. Give honor to God and He will bring you before people of influence and not mean people.
Do not try to be relevant and people pleasers, your winning will be short-lived and you will become discouraged. You are encouraged to ask God for what you need not bargain with God.
When God approves of your life the evidence is difficult to hide. Your concern is His concern. Let your conscience be your guide and you will not live in uncertainty.
May your audience be receptive and may your lifestyles never bring disgrace. Maya Angelo said, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
You will draw the kind of audience of who you are in your secret life. Be real. Be humble. Touch lives. Do not lose your value. Show up even when no one applauds you for it.
May we all seize the opportunity to stand before an audience of one with God as the silent listener. I hope we live a life that we are proud of. We are all a work in progress.
