We have two choices when faced with something terrifying – we either run away and hide or we face it and fight. By fight I mean – DO NOT ENGAGE IN CONFLICT. “It’s dog-eat-dog out there! The world doesn’t fight fair. But we don’t live or fight our battles that way—never have and never will.”
We commit all our battles to God from our knees and listen closely as He reveals strategies.
A wink is not how we would usually face challenges instead we go kicking and screaming until it dawns on us that no one is coming to our aid, so we go from survival mode to realizing that God must be up to something. God is always in control even when you think your world is out of control.
Someone said, “Even the darkest night will end, and the sun will rise.” People with that mentality are ready for grownup conversations
It’s a wonderful feeling to know that you almost fell apart, but you survived the uncertainty. We are the product of our choices be them good or bad. Anyone can give up because it is the easiest thing to do but faith always unlocks new doors.
“Faith in God includes faith in His timing.”
God uses our disappointments to teach us to trust Him. God always had a ram caught in the bush when He asked Abraham to offer up his promised child. It was Abraham’s obedience to God that made an angel stop him from slaying his son and replacing Isaac with a ram. “Long before Zacchaeus couldn’t see Jesus the tree was already planted to meet his needs.”
When you are faithful to God no matter what life throws at you – God gives you the grace to embrace the new normal. Your obedience to God launches you into new beginnings and you will never have to defend your decision of living for God.
Being a Christian doesn’t mean you will never fall apart – it just means that your confidence in God will catch you if and when you do. Setbacks become opportunities.
Go ahead and watch that challenge dead in the eye and give it a wink. God is with you. He is for you. You will not fail.
Joshua 1:9 – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
