September a Month to Remember
Today’s topic: Built to Last
Life changes when you decide to grow up and take responsibilities for your life. Sometimes, we just have to swallow our pride and correct the mistakes – it’s called growing up. When we stop making excuses or blaming others something magical happens – it’s called change.
Many times, we are not at all ready to handle some of the stuff that happens to us, but we need to be brave enough to heal ourselves even when it hurts. God is in the business of making all things new. His healing brings restoration beyond your understanding, no matter what storm you just walked out of. God built you to withstand all the hardships that life brings with it.
He will wipe away every tear from your eyes – no more crying, and no more pain. Trust God even when things don’t make sense. God didn’t ask you to make sense of all that has happened before you decide to ask for help. What we see is usually a limited version of the picture but what God sees is the whole picture.
Someone said, ‘WISE people live NOT by what they know BUT by what they DO with what they know.’
You are NOT stuck. Start with Jesus. Stay with Jesus. End with Jesus. When you say that something is built to last you mean that it won’t break soon after you buy it, or someone gives it to you. Well, YOU were built to last by the Master Creator Himself – GOD.
We all began life the exact same way. Out of the birthing canal into the cold-hearted world. Some depended on God for structure and stability – while others did life on their own. Both will throw a house-warming party and without warning the storms of life come, the winds blow, and the difficulties of life takes a toll putting one family at risk while the other one sleeps peacefully through it all.
God is not unfair – He sends the rain, storms, sunlight, sunrise, and sunsets to everyone. The difference is surrendering to God
Proverbs 3:5 – TRUST in the LORD with ALL your heart and lean NOT on your own understanding. In ALL your ways RECOGNIZE Him and He will SUPERVISE your paths.
Jude 1:24 “Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.
PRAYER TIME: Father, the battles I face cannot be won without Your intervention. Let my heart never get cold and hard from pursuing Your ways. I know You have heard my prayers and seen my tears and You will heal me. I WILL TRUST YOU with ALL MY heart and I WILL NOT choose MY own understanding OF THE MATTERS. Thank You for making me tough to outlast whatever I may face today.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
