Grown Up Conversations – Day 1 – Video

Making September 2020 a Month to Remember

Today’s Topic: Blossom where YOU are Planted

When trees are in blossom, they catch everyone’s attention. When people blossom, they are full of energy and confidence and become more attractive. Both people and trees when they are at their peak season are easy on the eye and very pleasant to be around.

We were made to blossom regardless of where we are planted. We are all different and some of us maybe blooming slower than others – don’t give up – we bloom in different seasons.

Like a Cactus plant that grows in the harshest conditions it shows we can withstand the worst of experiences and still bloom.

Wherever we are planted it’s not a mistake by God. We are there for a reason and a season – just bloom. God hasn’t forgotten where you are planted. The opposite is to give up and die after a couple of harsh seasons.

Quote: “As she fell apart, her shattered pieces began to bloomblossoming until she became herself exactly as she was meant to be.”

Only God can take the shattered pieces of our lives and make them look attractively healthy and full of energy again. You will glow again exactly as you were meant to be.

To survive the difficult seasons the secret is found in Psalms 1:3-4 – “They are like trees growing beside a stream, trees that produce fruit in season and always have leaves. Those people succeed in everything they do. That isn’t true of those who are evil – they are like straw blown by the wind.”

Job 14:9 says, “Yet through the scent of water it will bud and bring forth boughs like a plant.

God knew long before we found out that life will leave some of us traumatized and buried in dirt – and wrote those scriptures in THE BOOK. How I wish I can tell you to go buy a magic pill and you will blossom exactly how you meant to be – but there’s no quick fix to brokenness.

Like trees we need to be positioned by a stream to bloom. Find your quiet time alone with God – you will not fear when the heat comes. There’s really no quick fix but doing it God’s way.

Jeremiah 17:8 “He will be like a tree planted by the waters that sends out its roots toward the stream. It does not fear when the heat comes, and its leaves are always green. It will not worry in a year of drought or cease producing fruit.”

PRAYER TIME: Lord, thank you that my mind is refreshed day after day. My heart is strong, and I will not be afraid of the heat of the day. My life WITH You continues to be timeless. I will not worry when difficult seasons come as my roots have been planted in Your word. And at the sight of your word I will be encouraged. In Jesus Name, Amen
