Grown Up Conversations – Day 3 – Video

Making September 2020 a Month to Remember

Today’s Topic: Stay Connected

A vine is a plant whose stem requires support and climbs along the wall or creeps on the ground. As humans we need all the support we can get to carry out the whys we were born.

God offers us to be the true vine where we can attach ourselves to Him to follow our passion no matter how many times it appears like the goal post keeps moving.

Staying connected to the true vine keeps us challenging ourselves never to give up. He walks us through the process of letting some things go simply because it’s too heavy.

When we remain connected to God our views of life changes and our anxiety levels decrease. Every hurdle becomes a stepping stone and you find meaning in every experience.

God calls you a friend and friends talk to each other about everything meanwhile working through the process. It took me a long time to accept that Faith is NOT an Emotion.

Faith is a decision to trust that God knows the way through the wilderness and all we have to do is to follow.

Romans 8:31 “What, then, can we say about all of this? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

Quote: “I would rather stand with God and be judged by the world than stand with the world and be judged by God.”

When you walk with God no matter what lies ahead – God has a way to get there way before you do. Our purpose should be to please God and not people.

Let’s take pride in being called a friend of God. John 15:15 says, “But now I call you friends, because I have told you everything that my Father told me.”

John 15:9 Jesus says, ‘Just as the Father has loved me; I have loved you. Now remain in my love.’

Prayer Time: Father, teach me to love like you. Let me remain in right standing with you so your love can outrun me and surround me. I thank you for calling me ‘friend’. Touch the people around me. Bless them with good health, peace in their mind and rest in their spirits. Thank you for holding my hands. In Jesus Name, Amen
