Today’s Topic: Don’t Take the Bait
There are fights you will win and fights you will lose, but every fight doesn’t need an active participant. One great benefit to having a personal relationship with God – He coaches you in a fight. Sometimes, the LORD says, “Do not go to war for I am NOT among you, lest you be defeated before your enemies.” And there are times when He says, “Go in and take possession.”
Many times, in the heat of the moment, we’re eager to put up a fight for justice. We climb the mountain of resentment before even talking it over with God. Choose to be patient. Be mature. Every fight doesn’t need an active participant. The enemies we see today, we will see them no more if we allow God to coach us.
No matter what we face in life let’s make sure we don’t let go of God’s hand. We need God every minute of the day. Never underestimate your relationship with God. God walks besides you. Goes before you. Walks behind you.
Stop striving! Stop fighting! Relax! Put your arguments to rest. Leave them with God and watch God put an end to everything without your help.
Exodus 14:14 “The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
There’s no one who can understand us like God. He knows what you are going through and all He asks of you is to be still. Life comes with struggles, trials, and pain whether you are rich or poor – they will show up sometime. Whether you are prepared or caught napping – they will come. Don’t lose confidence in God – He’s an on-time God.
It takes real faith in God to believe that this is not how your story will end on a battlefield. Don’t take Satan’s bait to go and fight on your own. When darkness seems to hide His face continue to rest in His unchanging ways. There’s Christ for every crisis. There’s a message designed for every mess. There’s a crown for every frown. .
PRAYER TIME: Father, I sincerely thank you that I am not called to be an active participant in every fight. Thank you for coaching me so I can sleep well at nights. I will stop striving, fighting, and wanting others to hear my side of the story. I enjoy relaxing in Your Presence where I feel safe from all the attacks of the evil one. In Jesus Name, Amen
