It’s October – Embrace the seasons of life – it’s only a season
Mothers
Mothers are God’s gifts to humanity and the anxiety of a mother often gets recorded in her prayers. Her prayers are more important than the countless meals she prepares for her brood. What a comfort it was for me to know that no matter wherever I traveled or lived, I had a praying mother.
To all mothers/caregivers, there’s no crisis too weighty for you to take to God. We all have our limitations when it comes to carrying our own personal loads. We are natural caregivers and givers must learn to set limits. A little reminder – Only Christ can do all things.
Sometimes one defeat can hit us like a tornado. Satan does a great job in keeping our attention on that one defeat totally forgetting the other victories we have won. To me that sounds like a strategic setup by the devil who is absolutely not our cheerleader.
Refuse to cave in to the anxiety he creates. Let your prayers attract God’s attention. Then go to lunch with your friends – just do anything to ignore Satan’s sideshows. Whatever you focus on will continue to be intensified.
God does not expect you to carry the weight of your losses. The cross will be too heavy, and you will be tempted to curse God and die. Keeping it real is finding the courage to focus on what gives you strength and not your discouragements.
You may feel like an unsung hero but in God’s eyes He’s been listening and recording your wins. A praying mother is an asset to any family. Ask Jesus to cover you and all that concerns you while He fixes ‘IT”. Jesus loves you and He will never risk losing you by being unfaithful or disloyal to you.
Cheers to all our unsung mothers/caregivers who fight battles that nobody else knows about. Embrace the season – it’s only a season. You are simply an incredible human being performing multiple roles with no fanfare.
You were once a little girl with big dreams and if God has kept you here – He still believes you can accomplish it. Don’t disappoint yourself.
Quotes: “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream another dream.”
“If you are offered a seat on a rocket ship, don’t ask what seat. Just get on!”
