Grown Up Conversations – October 8 – Video

It’s October – Embrace the seasons of life – it’s only a season.

Today’s topic: Don’t Test God – Try Him

A booby trap is a bait that is set up to intentionally attract an innocent victim to either kill, or to harm them. The truth is, we are always knowingly or unknowingly in danger of booby traps.

It’s beyond any human being’s capability to be alert and watchful twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week; all the time. As human beings we may have the capacity to stay awake 24 hours but do we have the capability to do so?

That’s why we need God’s protection from hidden traps – God neither naps nor sleep. If there was any time we need God’s protection is today. The Lord is our safe hiding place and our covering.

Buying face masks, gown, gloves, hand sanitizers, or staying in the safety of your home are no guarantee that you are protected from deadly hidden traps.

It’s a blessing to feel assured that God is keeping watch over us day and night even when we are unaware of His presence. In sickness and in health – God is a present help. He’s just one prayer away.

When you choose to make the Lord your hiding place there shall no evil catch up to you for He gives His angels full responsibility of you. We all know how dangerous hidden traps are – don’t risk becoming victims.

Don’t allow the discomfort of being in a relationship with God cause you to run back to what God has already delivered you from many times before.

When we have God’s covering, evil cannot live in God’s presence – it’s like having a lifetime insurance. It’s unimaginable the evil that creeps us around in the night, the objects that come from nowhere and fly pass us by day, and the tragedies we escape when using the highways and public places.

Be strong and do not let your heart give in to fear. When you make God your secret dwelling place you will sleep well at nights because He is your keeper.

Proverbs 14:30 “A peaceful heart leads to a healthy body.”

Joshua 1:9 “Be strong and courageous. DO NOT BE AFRAID, DO NOT DISCOURAGED, for the LORD your God will be with you WHEREVER YOU GO.”
