The END of Broken Dreams
When we get to the end of a broken dream what do we do? We may want to fix whatever gotten broken, or hide it, or forget it, or simply not care what happens to it anymore. Regardless of what action we take broken dreams mercilessly pull at every muscle of our achy heart crushing our bones.
The end of a relationship, job or dream can seriously disrupt our life unless we have trust that every experience in life can teach us something about God that we did not know before.
Gentle reminder: It’s a broken dream, not the end of your life. God never panics when we fall victims to broken dreams. He sees it as an opportunity for us to find Him at the end of the journey. God decided way before you were born where every planet and star would be placed. Where the land would be and where the sea could not come. He also decided when night should end and when morning begins.
So, rest in FULL confidence knowing that God will take all the shattered pieces and produce a great masterpiece. It may look like a misfortune but not from God’s viewpoint. God’s ways are always pass our understanding. God’s peace helps us to recover from the horrible pain of shattered plans and goals knowing that He still holds our original blueprint.
We may not be sure what to do, but we know that God knows what to do. We may feel intimidated at times, but God hasn’t left our side. We maybe tripping but God becomes that friend and companion that keeps us from hurting ourselves. We can exercise our faith to believe that at the end of broken dreams God has something better in mind for us.
The year 2020 has proven to us that we cannot put our trust in our career, in humans, or even our own capabilities. Jeremiah 17:5 says, Thus says the Lord “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord.”
The only thing that has remained constant during this pandemic is that the LORD wakes us up to His mercies which are new every morning. It’s a new day to dream again if you will only trust God.
Jeremiah 17:7-8 “But those who trust in the Lord will be blessed. They know that the Lord will do what he says. They will be strong like trees planted near a stream that send out roots to the water. They have nothing to fear when the days get hot. Their leaves are always green. They never worry, even in a year that has no rain. They always produce fruit.”
PRAYER TIME: Father, we want to thank you for keeping us during this year of COVID 19. We will have nothing to fear even when things do not go as we planned. We will not worry about our tomorrows because we are like trees planted in Your presence where we belong. Thank you for the increase on every side. In Jesus Name, Amen
