You are NOT Stuck – YOU are coming out
Fear of failure, fear of losing someone, fear of people, fear of the taunting voices in our heads, fear of being attacked, fear of cancer are all our worse enemies.
Fear is the Cousin of Worry and Neighbor to Missed Opportunities. Fear can negatively impact both our physical and mental health.
The truth is everyone is fighting anxiety and fear in some way whether they show them or not. You don’t drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
Life is fluid meaning that in any given day we can experience the good, the bad, and the ugly. When things aren’t going as planned, we feel like we are drowning as stress, and anxiety make us very uneasy.
To others it may look like you’re drowning in a glass of water but in your reality, you are drowning in an ocean. Fear is awful.
But it’s far better to cry, forgive, learn, move on and get back up and go again than to stay buried in fear. Life is fluid – it’s okay to start over again.
Breathe, it’s just a bad ugly day, not a bad ugly life – don’t unpack and live there. You have to fight through those bad moments to get to the good days of your life.
Isaiah 43:2-4 says, “Don’t be afraid, I’ve redeemed you. I’ve called your name. You’re mine. When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you. When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down. When you’re between a rock and a hard place, it won’t be a dead end. Because I am God, your personal God, The Holy of Israel, your Savior. I paid a huge price for you.”
God says, do not be afraid. When you’re over your head, He will be there with you. When you are in rough waters, you will not go down. When you are between a rock and a hard place, it won’t be a dead end.
You are not stuck – you are coming out.
The Bible says over and over again – “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
If God gives us a glimpse of what our tomorrow looks like we will never allow fear of anything or anyone to shackle us. Let’s do something different so we can get a different result.
Ten years from now, make sure you can say that one morning you woke up and became a different person. Don’t be a prisoner of fear. Make a different choice.
PRAYER TIME: Father, thank You that You are with us during our most scary times, supporting us through them, giving us the strength to move beyond the dialogues in our heads and keeping us out of harm’s way. Thank You that we can recover from all the missed opportunities in life. Today, we are blessed and highly favored by You. In Jesus Name, Amen
