Relationship is Essential
Everyone of us had a time in life when we wanted to breakdown and cry but pretended to be happy simply not to worry the people we care so much for. God created us to have relationships.
The LORD God made a woman from the rib He had taken out of man. It was God’s idea for humans to interact, learn to trust, support each other, and to build friendships.
Our relationship with God pretty much works the same. When we interact with God and learn to trust Him – He quiets our heart when we become anxious. Daily conversations with God produce faith even if He remains silent or immediately answers our prayers.
In my relationship with God I’ve found that His Peace is a priceless gift as many of my anxieties remain bottled up in vials before the Throne. It does not make me exasperated if I don’t immediately get all the answers I have been waiting for. It’s a TRUST FACTOR.
John 14:27 Jesus says, “ I’m leaving you well and whole. That’s my parting gift to you. Peace. I don’t leave you the way you’re used to being left—feeling abandoned, grieving. So, don’t be upset. Don’t be distraught.”
True relationships never leave you feeling abandoned, upset, or distraught.
Tony Gaskins Jr. says, “Ladies hear this – If a man isn’t following God, he isn’t fit to lead. If he doesn’t have a relationship with God, he won’t know how to have a relationship with you. If he doesn’t know God, he doesn’t know real love.”
Whether it’s God or a person you are in a relationship with – respect, trust, support, and daily dialogues survive the true test of times. The hymn says, ‘Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness just take it to the Lord in prayer.’
God never leaves us the way He met us – we become whole with nothing missing. God sets the example for us to follow when looking for signs of a healthy relationship.
True love doesn’t make you feel abandoned. We were made in the image of God. Relationships are important so it makes sense that we should mimic everything that God has taught us.
It should be the benchmark in all relationships. No matter how long you have been waiting – do not rush ahead of God. Trust takes years to build and seconds to break.
If a man doesn’t have a relationship with God, he won’t know how to have a relationship with you. If you don’t have a relationship with God, you won’t know how to have a relationship with others. May our bad days keep us near to God and prove that He is good.
PRAYER TIME: Father, thank you for teaching me to understand how relationships work. You have never abandoned me and left me feeling misplaced. Let my relationship with You be so real that I will know when I am surrounded with healthy people who carries your image. In Jesus Name, Amen
