Wednesday GROWN UP CONVERSATIONS with June Doyle

You are Valuable

If you don’t value yourself, then you will always be attracted to people who don’t value you either.

When someone makes themselves easily accessible, they repeatedly are attracted to the wrong people. Insecurity makes someone go from one relationship to the other – unfortunately with great ease without missing a beat. Insecure people never pause to consider that maybe they deserve better – they make themselves fairly happy in the misery.

On the other hand, a confident woman knows what she will accept and what she will not accept. She recognizes that being single is far better than remaining in a horrible relationship. A confident woman doesn’t set herself on fire to keep someone else warm.

We all deserve a relationship that never makes us have to guess where we stand in it. Long before you were born, God defined your worth from His perspective. He watched you being formed, and He put together every part of you in the womb. He recorded every day of your life–past, present, and future–before your mom ever heard your first cry.

Even in our brokenness God sees our worth and gives it value. He sees our pain and gives it purpose. He sees our need to be loved and gives us a bright future. It’s important that you live everyday knowing your worth. The dream you had yesterday – God has given you another day to work that dream.

Isaiah 53:2-7 tells us that there was nothing attractive about Jesus. He was looked down on and passed over. He suffered and knew pain firsthand and no one looked at Him. They thought He was scum, but the fact is – He was carrying our pains and all the things that were wrong with us. Never doubt that Jesus does not understand what you are going through because He does.

God is putting together every episode in your life to bring about your success story. God is more than enough even if no one else sees your worth. He saw you at your worst and still thinks the best of you. The words you hear becomes the house you live in. Change the way you think. Do it for yourself. Do it for your children. Do it for your success story.

PRAYER TIME: Dear God, thank you that you saw my brokenness and you give it value. Thank you that you saw my pain and give it purpose. I am whole in you. Today, I change my status from broken girl to  a healthy woman. Thank you for loving me unconditionally and showing me another way of thinking. In Jesus Name, Amen.
