March 15 Grown Up Conversations

Relationship Matters

Some days are easy breezy when we can get a lot done with little or no trouble. Easy breezy days are very easy to get used to as life is great, and the cruise ships have arrived with great celebrations onboard. When you have the right people in your circle your vision is clear, you pick your battles wisely, and you bloom healthier.

The opportunities and resources are unlimited, and dreams and ideas are formed. You make the best use of your time and you do good to everyone. Faith in God is at an all-time high and you publicly confess that God is good. 2 Timothy 2:16 says, “Keep away from worthless and useless talk. It only leads people farther away from God.” Do you want to be at peace? Keep away from meaningless and idle talk.

When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the LORD your God for the good times he has given you. Be careful that you do not forget the LORD your God.

Stephen King says, “Get busy living or get busy dying.” On your easy-breezy day walk carefully, not as fools, but as wise. No one could boast about tomorrow so live meticulously before God staying grateful and humble. The most beautiful thing in life is to be contented every day as you recognize that life in itself is a gift from God.

When you are happy those around feed off your happiness. Happy thoughts make a happy life. Get busy living and stop tripping over the little frustrations of the day.

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

When we understand that our time on earth is limited and no one knows what the next day may bring we begin to recognize the importance of living every day for God. Max Lucado says that there are going to be a lot of really nice people in hell. In other words, it’s not enough to just be nice, do good deeds, and not say bad words or do bad things but to recognize that our lives belong to God. Our families belong to God. Our resources belong to God. Everything is His.

He is our peace in a very hostile world. He is our Shepherd, so we lack nothing. He faithfully watches over us day and night. He is our rest when we become weary. Even though our body and mind maybe exhausted His spirit renews us day by day. We may not have as much time as we think so live intentionally each day.

PRAYER TIME: Father, teach us to humble ourselves using every opportunity to do what you have kept us alive to do. Teach us to be faithful in the little things, then you will give us more to do. In Jesus Name, Amen
