March 16 Grown Up Conversations

God will Take Care of YOU

Some people wish they can move away and start a new life in search of a new beginning. But if a person leaves one place with mental and emotional baggage, they will be carrying the same problems into a new place. Les Brown says, “If you are carrying strong feelings about something that happened in your past, they may hinder your ability to live in the present.”

A change of address doesn’t guarantee a changed mindset. New beginnings start with a new mindset and a new mindset starts with new goals. Someone said, “If you can trust a puzzle company to make sure every piece is in the box to complete the puzzle, then why can’t you trust GOD that every piece of your life is there for a reason.”

God can turn your baggage into blessings if you dare to trust Him.

Lyrics below is from an old hymn that kept my Mom’s heart going when the weight of life became excessive.

God Will Take Care of You

Be not dismayed whate’er betide

God will take care of you

Beneath His wings of love abide

God will take care of you

God will take care of you

Through every day, o’er all the way

He will take care of you

God will take care of you

No matter what may be the test

God will take care of you

Lean, weary one, upon His breast

God will take care of you

God will take care of you

Through every day, o’er all the way

He will take care of you

God will take care of you. THE END

When your focus is set right the weight of life becomes less burdensome. When you pray secretly God rewards you openly. It may not be a change of address but a change of approach. One thing you can bank on – God is never blind to your tears, never deaf to your prayers, and never silent to your pains. Our prayers maybe private but God answers in a very public way.

Matthew 6:6 “When you pray, go into a room alone and close the door. Pray to your Father in private. He knows what is done in private, and He will reward you.”

People who don’t know God are always overly anxious about everything and are convinced that a change of address will give them a new start. The safest place to live is always in the will of God.

1 Peter 5:7-8 says, “Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. Be sober-minded and alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”

Finally, Romans 15:13, NIV: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

PRAYER TIME: Father, help is to spend more time in your presence where our heart will be filled with hope. Let us not become overly anxious about things that are under your control and may we take up residence doing your will for our lives. In Jesus Name, Amen
