Reset. Restart. Refocus.
Every day we get a new opportunity to try something new. No one can make you happy unless you decide to be happy. It’s a privilege to be alive, to breathe, to think, and to even make mistakes and learn from them. As we grow older, we will have to get rid of baggage we have accumulated over the years. Holding grudges deprive you of enjoying your best life.
When things change inside of you then the things around you will change. Fighting the same old battles and being negative only make the next steps more difficult. Someone said, “You may be given a cactus, but you don’t have to sit on it.” Every day we must make a conscious decision not to overthink anything that causes emotional stress.
Ready for your new beginning? Here are a couple scriptures you can read and pray over your life.
ISAIAH 43:18-19 – “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
Start everyday by refusing to replay negative experiences. Things don’t always go as planned but with faith in God, we can make it through the hardest times. Prayer is the best medicine to calm a trouble mind.
2 CORINTHIANS 4:16-17 – “Therefore, we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.”
Do not lose heart. God is not asking you to figure it all out. When you do life with God, He gives you an inward peace that far outweighs what’s happening around you. Everyday make a step that will lead you closer to depending on God.
C.S. Lewis says, “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream another dream.”
Adulting is accepting the fact that you ended up with a stack of broken bricks and suddenly realizing you can build a tower overlooking a beautiful skyline. Someone said, “If the plan doesn’t work, change the plan but never the goal.”
The goal is, no matter how hard the past is, there’s a new beginning. Every day is a new beginning, take a deep breath and start again this time with God. Purpose in your heart to never start a new day holding grudges against anyone. Let them go.
One of the most courageous decision anyone can do on any given day is to finally let go of whatever is hurting. There are healthy and unhealthy thoughts … the good thing is we get to make the choice best suited for where we are heading.
Satan loves to take everything that is beautiful and destroy it. God loves to take what’s hurting and make it beautiful. The choice is yours.
PRAYER TIME: Father, thank you for new beginnings. Thank you for strength to move on as you daily bless us with peace. In Jesus Name, Amen
REMINDER: Reset. Restart. Refocus. Adulting is accepting the fact that you ended up with a stack of broken bricks and suddenly realizing you can build a tower overlooking a beautiful skyline. Keep Christ in your life.
