SEPTEMBER 6 HEART TO HEART GROWN UP CONVERSATIONS

Facts Fight Fear.

There are days when you’re going to be strong. There are days when you will be weak. There are days when life gets complicated. There are days when all you can do is to give God thanks for another chance to be alive.

Allow me to let you in on a secret – God loves the simple days when we just give thanks. No request. No whining. He lives in our praises.

This is life and it’s no movie. With God’s help we have survived our worst days so far. We would not have made it without God.

Many times, adulting leaves us with little or no choice knowing that when we’re tired He gives strength. When we’re discouraged He gives us hope. What a friend we have in Jesus. We never walk alone.

We accept our weaknesses, and we appreciate our strengths. It’s what we choose to focus on keeps us hopeful.

Robert Browning Hamilton the poet wrote, “I walked a mile with pleasure, she chattered all the way, but left me none the wiser for all she had to say. I walked a mile with sorrow, and not a word said she … but oh, the things I learned from sorrow, when sorrow walked with me.”

To be human is to learn the most valuable lessons in our moments of sorrow. God never promised days without pain or sorrow, but He did promise that through it all He walks by our side.

God uses everything we have been through to make us mature lacking nothing. It’s mind blowing the things we learn about God during our darkest hours.

John 14:27 says, “Do not let your heart be troubled, and do not let it be afraid.”

Facts fight fear. When faced with the unknown Jesus becomes our anchor. He is the faithful God who keeps His promises for a thousand generations.

‘Fear not,’ is in the Bible 365 times. It’s a one-day booster jab to protect us from the virus of discouragement. God has graciously made His Word easily accessible for all seasons. He sits in the Heaven to perform every last word that is written.

The Word of God calls us names like ‘beloved son, dear friends, my children’…
Prayer is not getting God to do what we want Him to do but allowing God’s will to be done in our lives. Prayer doesn’t need proof that God is hearing. God hears our faintest cry.

God’s peace restores our mind.

Prayer Time: Father, thank you that we can trust you with everything that concerns us. Your Word is a light giving us wisdom and a lamp to keep our feet from stumbling along the obstacles in our way. In Jesus Name, Amen

Reminder:
‘Fear not,’ is in the Bible 365 times.” It’s a one-day booster jab to protect us from the virus of discouragement. His Word easily accessible to comfort us in all seasons.
