Today’s Topic: Believe in Yourself!
If something is important to you, you will do it even if all the odds are against you. You must be determined, passionate, and disciplined.
Quote: “You will never reach your destination if you stop and throw stones at every dog that barks.” This quote doesn’t literally means dogs. It means you will never reach your destination if you stop and respond to everyone who has something to say.
As grownups, our runway is shorter than it was before. No one has time to stop and respond to everything that others have to think or say. If you are determined and disciplined nothing is impossible.
Stop getting bent out of shape with things that have nothing to do with your goals. You have places to go, people to meet, and things to achieve.
There will always be people in your inner circle who are territorial and will from time to time throw obstacles in your way. They are the critical part to keeping you humble and focused.
If you lose heart you will never reach your destination. Do not feed the negativity. Don’t engage in the circus.
Jesus handpicked 12 people to be in his inner circle and one of them refuse to put their faith in Him and betrayed Him for money.
At the end of the day …it’s your dream/goal not anyone else’s that you are working on.
1 Peter 5:10 says, “Yes, you will suffer for a short time. But after that, God will make everything right. He will make you strong. He will support you and keep you from falling. He is the God who gives all grace.”
God will make you strong keep you from falling and His grace will keep you going. If there’s one piece of advice I can leave with you is, if there’s something you really want to achieve – be determined and disciplined.
Don’t give up no matter how long it takes. Keep a cool head. Stay focus. There will always be people who don’t believe in you and would like nothing better than to watch you fall.
Believe in yourself because God believes in you. You will never reach your destination if you stop to respond to everyone and everything that stands in your way.
Prayer Time: Father, help us to be determined, disciplined and to finish strong. Let us not lose heart by what’s happening around us. Make us a good examples of someone who believes in themselves even when no one else does. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Thought for today: If what you are working on puts a fight in you then be prepared to work hard.
