NOVEMBER 17 HEART TO HEART GROWN UP CONVERSATIONS

Today’s Topic: Healed Emotions

No matter what you have gone through, God is not done with you. Every human being unconditionally is important to God. God cares when we are hurting.

A quote: “The main function of the little toe is to make sure that all the furniture in the house is in place.”

The little toe never feels important until you stomp it against something. The pain definitely stops you from moving until you sit down and attend to it. You will never once think about throwing out the furniture just because you hit the little toe.

You pause and acknowledge the pain.

You will always remember to be careful when moving around the furniture the next time.

Pain causes you to overreact, and over exaggerate because it hurts. Getting over hurt takes time. At some time, you must just pull the band aid off and let it hurt once and for all.

In life we all have to deal with some pretty uncomfortable stuff, but we know that God promises to be with us until the end of time.

Psalms 42:11 “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God; For I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.”

God sees what we cannot see, and knows what we don’t know. We can trust God.

Isaiah 66:9 “In the same way, I will not cause pain without allowing something new to be born.”

The only One who understands what we feel is The One who created us.

When you sit with people who have the same mindset like you… the conversations are different. Be selective of the conversations you are having if you want to be healed of the pain.

The pain has purpose. Acknowledge it and get over it.

Prayer Time: Father, in our pain may we experience your strength. Thank you that you will not cause pain without allowing something new to be born. In Jesus Name, Amen.

If it wasn’t for the pain you wouldn’t have discovered your strength. God loves you.
