JANUARY 20 – It’s a Great Time for a Grownup Conversation

Today’s Topic: ‘BUT GOD’ kind of Season

If God doesn’t have your attention, trust me, He will unsettle your surroundings. There’s no greater disease than the loss of hope.

There are no quick fix to what’s happening in the world today. People’s hearts are literally failing them for fear. So many people are waiting for something that may not happen because fear holds them hostage.

You are responsible for what you see, hear, read, and believe. Fear happens when we forget God is still in charge. The only way God can show who’s in control is to put us into situations that we have no control.

Psalms 34:4 “I asked the Lord to help me, and he answered me. He saved me from everything that made me afraid.”

The best thing you can do is not to imagine, or overthink – God is greater than your high and low moments. Have faith in God. The Bible says, “Do not put your trust in man, in whom there is no help.”

Deuteronomy 33:27 “The eternal God is your refuge, And underneath are the everlasting arms.”

The Lord is our rock in a weary land, a shelter in the time of storms. Secure whatever ill betide, a Shelter in the time of storm. Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land, a Shelter in the time of storm.

A shade by day, defense by night, a Shelter in the the time of storm. No fears alarm, no foes afright, a Shelter in the time of storm. The raging storms may round us beat, a Shelter in the time of storm;

We’ll never leave our safe Retreat, a Shelter in the time of storm.

Seatbelts don’t save lives, but we still wear seatbelts.

Vaccines don’t save lives, even though I’m fully vaccinated including having my booster shot.

Money doesn’t save lives, but I’m thankful that I’ve food to eat, roof over my head, and water to drink.

Get ready to testify that when your heart was overwhelmed – God comforted you and reminded you that He didn’t bring you this far to leave you.

Prayer Time: Father, thank you that you are working in us, for us, and nothing will terrify us as we cling tightly to you. In Jesus Name, Amen.

We’ll never leave our safe Retreat, a Shelter in the time of storm.
