Today’s Topic: ‘Carefully Guard Your Heart’
Disappointments, loneliness, grief, and mental fatigue are no easy changes to deal with. If you are one whose name was on the wake-up list, remember to take time before you jump out of bed to hear God’s voice before you hear anyone else’s.
God says you are not a prisoner of your past failures and mistakes. Stop walking around in darkness. Morning routines with God sets the pace for the rest of the day. You can face anything when you know who controls all the outcomes of your experiences.
Disappointments, loneliness, anger, and insomnia are signs that you are mentally trying to handle more than is humanly possible. Show me a person who finds themselves at peace in a turmoil and I will show where they get their confidence.
Life gives you a different perspective when your relationship with God scores higher than any other friendship.
Proverbs 4:23 “Carefully guard your thoughts because they are the source of true life.”
Don’t make a mistake by turning to the world for counselling. As you think in your heart it will be revealed in your behavior. Guard your heart. Avoid things getting under your skin. You can’t change people or circumstances, but you can set a watch over what is deposited into your heart.
When you find yourself losing ground – listen closely to the wisdom of God and good sense will prevail.
What you think, you will start believing. What you feel, will make you either fight the negativity or look for an escape. What you imagine, will either make you start doubting that God is still in control of good and bad situations or that things will not change. Guard your thoughts.
Prayer makes the impossible become possible. The very thing that is making you lose sleep at nights is the very thing that God will use to be a lifeline for others.
Do something kind even when life hasn’t been kind to you. Make someone laugh even while dealing with your own pain because you may have saved a life.
True peace comes from knowing God’s got your best interest at heart in every situation. No word from God will ever fail. Not yesterday. Not today. Not tomorrow.
Your body knows what your mind is saying so speak victory. It’s good for your mental health to speak words of affirmation.
Prayer Time: Father, don’t let our emotions be the decision maker. Help us to guard our thoughts and pray about everything. In Jesus Name, Amen.
God will use your story for His glory. Every time you can think of something positive in a bad situation, you win.
