YOUR ONE MINUTE with DR. KRISSY NEUROSCIENTIST and PROFESSOR π§
TOPIC: βBack to work and feeling anxious?β
Here are 3 recommendations for you.
ππ½ (1) ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR FEELINGS – Naming how you feel will help you become more aware of what might be making you feel a bit off kilter.
ππ½ (2) SLOW THINGS DOWN – This includes your movements, your speech, your day, so that you donβt add more anxiety on top of your current feelings.
ππ½ (3) REMOVE UNCERTAINTY – Know your workplace policies around returning to in-person work, restart your routines and remove as much unpredictability as possible.
These 3 recommendations will engage your PREFRONTAL CORTEX (our planning and decision making center) which will then calm the fear response of our AMYGDALA in unsure times.
Very helpful and very timely. Thank you for sharing this!

You are welcome.
For those who have to go back in person after the last two years the struggle is real.
Feelings are legit but donβt become anxious or overwhelmed with thoughts that leads to fear. Knowledge is power
