Your ONE MINUTE with Dr. Krissy. Neuroscientist and Professor 🧠
Today’s Topic: ‘Don’t give up!’✨✨
When we experience a WIN, our brain releases endorphins, dopamine and serotonin, which encourages us to engage in a task again.
When we experience a FAILURE, our brain releases cortisol and leaves us with feelings of rejection and vulnerability.
The activation of cortisol fuels our fight/ flight/ freeze/ or fawn response. Fawning is a trauma response where a person develops people-pleasing behaviors to avoid conflict and to establish a sense of safety.
However, failure can help the BRAIN GROW.
So here are some tips to dealing with failure:
👉🏽 Be kind to yourself
👉🏽 Allow yourself to feel
👉🏽 Recognize that failing is normal
👉🏽 Learn from the experience
👉🏽 Don’t give up!
Remember Failure is Success in Progress
Failure is just success in progress ❤️ Don’t give up! Inspirational ❤️🙏
