Knowing Jesus

You can know ABOUT Jesus … but yet not KNOW Him in a personal way until you spend quality time getting to know Him.

In case you didn’t know:

Jesus identifies with the outcast, socially displaced person, and sinners. The religious leaders were very condescending to Jesus because He sat down to eat with the outcasts of society. They said, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”

Jesus identifies with a widow who only child had died. When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said, ‘Don’t cry.’ Jesus cured many who had diseases, illnesses and evil spirits, and the spiritually blind received their sight.

1. Your future doesn’t rest in the hands of humans as good and kind as they may be to you. Your future rests in the hands of God.

“Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭146‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬

2. When people try to put you down, God will raise you up. When they withhold from you, He will supply all your needs.

“The Lord God is our protector and glorious king. He blesses us with kindness and honor. The Lord freely gives every good thing to those who do what is right.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭84‬:‭11‬ ‭ERV‬‬

3. God’s correction is not His rejection. He’s a loving father who protects His children from future mistake.

“My son, don’t reject the Lord’s discipline, and don’t be angry when he corrects you. The Lord corrects the one he loves, just as a father corrects a child he cares about.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭ERV‬‬
