If it doesn’t add positivity to your life then it doesn’t belong in your life. No more what ifs, no internal or external wars, and no more hating the message and the messenger. Stop breaking promises to yourself.
Comparison quietly steals your identity. What if the keynote speaker spoke with notes and the next speaker spoke without notes? What if Tara having been through some storms, heartaches, and pain, but through it all God kept her sane making her a force to be reckoned with – What is that to you?
🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
Peter asked Jesus, “What about him, Lord?” Jesus replied, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, WHAT IS THAT TO YOU? As for you, FOLLOW ME.”
John 21:21-22 NLT
In my words, Jesus was saying, “Mind your business and just follow HIM.”
Sometimes, people measure other people’s successes by their own accomplishments and they get a high if they find themselves more successful.
Whatever side of the story you find yourself, remember what Jesus told Peter – “What is that to you?”
It’s never about ‘if they can, you can’ mentality. Jesus has work for every human being to do that doesn’t look the same. If it doesn’t add positivity in your life then it doesn’t belong in your life. Comparison steals your identity.
If anyone misses God’s grace in what they are doing, then they are missing their goalpost. God’s grace adds favor to your sauce.
Remember Jesus’ words when the ugly head of comparison shows up – “What is that to you? You follow ME.”
This is 2023 – The year we are putting aside anything that’s weighing us down and taking God’s grace with us to the finish line.
Teach us, LORD, to keep our eyes fixed
