You’ve Got This

Be very confident that in this life you and I will never need anything more than God can supply. We can be sure that God will take care of everything we need when we need. 

There are times when things look out of control and we wonder why is God so silent…there are answers we cannot receive till we know God in His fullness and believe. We are the ones who profit when we say we are going to walk with God all the way. The times when  we know He is listening and those times when He’s silent. 

Be assured about this one thing – God always remains in total control of the outcome of any situation whether we are Christians or non-Christians. He remains in total control.  God our righteous judge has allowed the challenges to come at us from all sides –for when we are under pressure, our faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So we will not try to get out of anything prematurely. Our goal is to become mature in the face of adversity.

I’ve experienced seasons in my life where the very thing that was meant to destroy me, God used as my turning point …and then I used it to throw out the lifeline to others who are sinking. 

When our faith is tried, do we throw up our hands in despair and walk away from God? Would we advise our children, friends and family members to walk out of an exam room if the test is difficult? Would we throw our phones away because it froze during an update? Would we demolish our car because one tire went flat?

Why do we blame God when bad things happen to us? Sometimes things happen so quickly and in the moment that we feel pressured on every side … it’s the moment our faith goes public. When we are squeezed what’s inside squirts out without warning. 

2 Corinthians 12:9 says, “and then he told me, My grace is enough, it’s all that you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness. Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ strength moving in on my weakness.”

In all this, we must choose not to sin nor charge God with wrong. We will hold fast to our integrity and stay faithful to the God of Israel who has called us, equipped us, empowered us against all odds, and stays by our side.

Anything that costs you your confidence in God or your integrity is way too expensive.
