Perfect Life Vs Blessed Life

Let’s get this straight – if we believe that as Christians we should never have trouble or challenges – then we are wrong. If perchance we ever believed that because we are Christians we should escape the fiery darts of the enemy – then we are wrong again.

Don’t be tricked and deceived by the devil when he tells you that if you are a believer …God shouldn’t allow hardships in your life. I’ve got news for you-  God gets no glory if our lives are perfect. Our mustard seed of faith is never stretched to growing into an oak tree if we live in a perfect white picket fenced house; have a great Savings account; our spouses and children are perfect; we don’t have problems; we hang with only elite folks; our church is perfect; our friends are loyal –  God gets NO glory in a perfect life.

A blessed life is a life that experiences the grace and mercy of God. It’s the trials, the tests, the mess, the lack, the sickness, and the sufferings that bring glory to God. Even Jesus had His periods of testing, trials and sufferings that led Him to cry out to His Father for strength to endure. A blessed life is a life that has the stripes to show that the Lord has been good. It’s the believer that has gone through the fire, but didn’t get burnt. A blessed life is one who faces a difficult experience but chooses not to run, but to stand firmly on the Word of God through tears and groanings that cannot be uttered.

I thank God for bringing me through those things that I thought would have destroyed me. I thank God for giving me the strength to endure hardship and the courage to hold on and to trust Him for perfect endings to extremely difficult circumstances. When our faith is tested is when God can be glorified. Don’t think it strange when you face the fiery darts of the enemy – hold on to God’s Word and having done everything – continue to stand and wait on God. He has not forgotten that you’re waiting,

Faith tested produces Patience. When we learn to wait on God, the result will always be good. When we come through a difficult trial, it makes us mature in all that God calls us to be. We do no justice to God’s Word or to our mustard seed of faith if we pretend that life is good and perfect. It’s okay not to be okay… A blessed life is one who can boast about the faithfulness of God after experiencing the fiery darts of the enemy. So today be proud of the stripes you wear on your sleeves after enduring hardships.

Don’t complain nor give up when life rocks your boat. Ask God for grace to go through and strength to come out. Don’t be ashamed that your life is not all good or perfect ….because God gets no glory out of a perfect life. Thank Him for the trials because it produces patience and patience produces maturity and maturity brings glory to God.

  1. Romans 5:3-5 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Thanks again for the encouraging words.
