CONVERSATIONS OVER DESSERT

Despite what our educated mind tells us about the importance of sleep, most of us are still losing the battle.
MORNING: want to sleep
AFTERNOON: dying to sleep
NIGHT: can’t sleep 🤦🏽‍♀️

If sleep had a voice I believe it will sound something like this, “I’m going to do whatever I want with or without your consent.” 🤷🏽‍♀️

There are many times we go to bed feeling tired and sleepy but as soon as we get into bed, we just can’t stop thinking. As we get older, let’s get wiser. Let’s stop overanalyzing everything. 🙇🏽‍♀️

If something don’t feel right, don’t think about it anymore. The quality of our thoughts determines how much sleep we get. Someone said, “A lot of people struggle with sleep because sleep requires peace.” 🙋🏽‍♀️

In Psalm 127:2 says, “In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat—for God grants sleep to those He loves.”

Matthew 11:28, Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Sleep is a gift from God. It allows us to recharge our bodies physically, mentally, and emotionally. No matter how dark it gets, the sun is going to shine again. 👩🏿‍🤝‍👩🏾

Before your head hits the pillow at night, remind yourself of all the things you did right. 🎧

How can we dream if we don’t sleep? When we dream, we will suddenly have all the energy and imagination we will ever need for the future.🎯
