Prayer time is a disciplined time.
Prayer takes the same amount of discipline and effort that you make to keep off the weight and to keep your heart, spirit and body healthy. Getting up early every morning and going to the gym or for a brisk walk before heading off to the office calls for discipline and consistency.
Between us….The Reward for talking with God is far greater than having a six pack and a sexy body. When that six pack and sexy body breaks down with an undiagnosed sickness or if tragedy strikes – guess what? You will need ALL the prayers from family and friends to help you get through a bad day.
The devil will do anything in his power to keep you from praying. The Bible says,
“And if you ask for anything in my name 👉🏾 I will do it for you.
Then ….the Father’s glory will be shown through the Son.
If you ask me for anything in my name, 👉🏾 I will do it.” John 14:13-14 ERV
God has a safe and private place specially reserved for anyone to go to Him. It’s called – ‘My alone time with God.’
“You can trust this:
Every word that God speaks is true.
God is a safe place for those who go to him.” Proverbs 30:5
When you pray:
“Don’t pour out a flood of empty words, as the Gentiles do.
They think that by saying many words they’ll be heard.
Don’t be like them, because your Father KNOWS what you need before you ask.” Matthew 6:7-8 CEB
Two things you can ask God for before you die:
Don’t let me tell lies.
And don’t make me too rich or too poor, give me only enough food for each day.
Lord, If I have too much, I might deny that I need you.
But if I am too poor, I might steal and bring shame to the name of my God.” Proverbs 30:5, 7-9 ERV
And this is how we should pray:
“Our Father in heaven, we pray that your name will always be kept holy.
We pray that your kingdom will come— that what you want will be done here on earth, the same as in heaven.
Give us the food we need for today.
Forgive our sins, just as we have forgiven those who did wrong to us.
Don’t let us be tempted, but save us from the Evil One.” Matthew 6:9-13 ERV
When dealing with sin in your life:
“I’ve sinned against you—you alone.
I’ve committed evil in your sight.
That’s why you are justified when you render your verdict,
completely correct when you issue your judgment.” Psalms 51:4 CEB
Dealing with guilt:
“The Pharisees and legal experts were grumbling, saying,
“This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.” Luke 15:2 CEB
The righteous (daily forgiven people) will never go begging:
“I was young and now I’m old, but I have never seen the righteous left all alone,
have never seen their children begging for bread.” Psalms 37:25 CEB
Everyone who honors the LORD, who walks in God’s ways, is truly happy.
You will definitely enjoy what you’ve worked hard for
you’ll be happy;
things will go well for you.
In your house, your wife will be like a vine full of fruit.
All around your table, your children will be like olive trees, freshly planted.
That’s how it goes for anyone who honors the LORD: they will be blessed!” Psalms 128:1-4 CEB
Is it time to talk to GOD?
The choice is always ours …
